Also known as a striped mirror, this RAID 10 nested array provides better throughput than other RAID levels due to its simplicity and lack of processing overhead managed by the server’s P440 RAID controller. While you may require additional storage for further data, this server will be able to offer that in plentiful amounts with its additional 20 other drive-bays!
As the RAID 10 array makes for a good database host drive, you’ll also have a more-than-healthy pool of 128GB of RAM to allocate. More RAM benefits having more sessions with our example database use-case along with most any other use case you might have for this server. When combined with a pair of 14-Core Xeon E5-2680 v4s, you’re enabled to run more instances, VMs, or other multi-threaded applications as you see fit.
