This week’s server is equipped with a supreme offering of a half-terabyte of memory that allows for a high allocation in both the host systems and a vast array of VMs as well. If you’re planning your host system to be a multi-application box that needs to be used rigorously across a wide field of tasks, then this should be a wonderful server choice for you. If you were to somehow even needing to grow this further, you still have that option as the 512GB occupies 16 of the servers 24 DIMM slots. Right in line with that large memory configuration, this server build includes 28 CPU cores, which will assist in the role of running multi-threaded programs and also hosting multiple VMs as mentioned above.
This build would also be a fantastic option as a storage host, with over 20TB of raw storage, configurable in a number of different RAID arrays to suit your needs. This also includes an option to exclusively use the front drives for data, since we’re also including the unit’s specially featured rear flex-bay to host two additional drives. Those drives can be isolated in their own RAID 1 array to be utilized for an OS. If needed, those additional drives can be ordered at the bottom of the listing under related products.
