Dell PowerEdge R640 - Now with BOSS Card! Boot Optimized Storage + 40TB Raw LFF Drives!

Already ready for the newest Deal of the Week? For this latest offer, we’re pairing big performance in a slim package with Dell’s 1U R640 PowerEdge Server! Able to supply both high powered performance and storage in a thin platform is a unique strength that can be hard to find in the market, but we’re proud to deliver.

We’re running with the theme of providing both large and small together in this server with our provided storage option. While the server only has 4x drive-bays for your storage drives, you’re able to use our configuration’s large scale raw 40TB of storage for exactly that, without having to split into multiple virtual disks or host an OS on them. The system’s OS can instead be run by the dedicated BOSS card in the rear of the system, which hosts a pair of 240GB M.2 SATA SSDs. This Boot Optimized Storage Solution is the perfect fit for a Windows Server OS, or a more lightweight distribution of Linux among other options if some of the space was wanting to be used for a handful of small applications as well.

Matching 40TB of storage is our 40 physical CPU cores installed in the system, which is especially useful for tasks with multi-threaded processing in mind. If able to properly utilize these Intel CPU’s hyper-threading, you get 80 total threads that allow for a large number of vCPUs if running a hyper-visor. While the CPU speed is relatively lower at 2GHz base speed, the CPUs run at only a fraction the total wattage compared to some of the higher spec CPUs among the Xeon Scalable line of processors. This is sure to save on power draw and ultimately your total cost of ownership on this enterprise grade system.

Saving the best for last, we’re covering our server configuration as listed here with our 1 Year Premium Hardware Warranty, that covers system hardware issues should they happen to arise. This also applies to shipping damage as well, so please let us know if your box arrives in poor condition! If that does happen to be the case, our sales and support staff are more than ready to help assist you, be it through email, live chat, or phone call!

Warranty Information

To ensure the best product is sent to our customers, all systems are built to order from the ground up, fully tested, updated, and warrantied. We do not dropship any system. Every unit is built in-house by a team of expert engineers. The engineers check and test all components that go into every system. Once all testing is completed, they initiate hardware updates and begin the warranty process. A full build audit is then generated and stored into our database with the order number. This audit includes a list of every component and their respective serial numbers. A shortened version of this audit will be included with the warranty paperwork shipped with each system.
