Dell R440 - NVMe Ready frame, U.2 specialty is the game!

If you have been looking for an affordable way to host NVMe SSDs, then you're in luck! Dell had specially produced a model of the PowerEdge R440 that we've just recieved a shipment of, that we're showcasing in this Deal! 

While many NVMe drives aimed at consumers are M.2 drives, the Dell R440 here utilizes an enterprise grade model, being the U.2 form factor. While it primarily looks like a SAS HDD or SSD, the U.2 form factor carries a higher density of pins on its drive interface. The server itself utilizes a collection of cables to run PCIe lanes from the rear of the server to the front backplane where the drives are installed. While this option doesn't include any drives, it is ready to have up to 4x of them that can be added. Just to note, the U.2 drives are not accessible by the hardware RAID controller, and are only used by a software solution or within the OS. While U.2 drives cannot be used as a boot device on this server, we're including a pair of 1TB SATA SSDs as a target for your OS.

Every unit is built in-house by a team of expert engineers. The engineers check and test all components that go into every system. Once all testing is completed, they initiate hardware updates and begin the warranty process. A full build audit is then generated and stored into our database with the order number. This audit includes a list of every component and their respective serial numbers. A shortened version of this audit will be included with the warranty paperwork shipped with each system.
